Welcome to
Karen's
Top Tens
give or take....
Below are lists of
random things... in no particular order, for no particular reason...
(got lots of time
on my hands during the offseason!)
~Updated 02/04/06~
|
Movies that you just
HAVE to stop and watch when you're flipping through the channels....even
though you've seen them so often you know all the lines... and it doesn't
matter if it's already started.... you're compelled to watch. We're
not talking Academy Award winners here, just addictive flicks....
Grease, Top Gun, Dirty Dancing, Dumb and Dumber, My
Cousin Vinnie, An Officer and a Gentleman, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate
Factory, Caddy Shack, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, Pretty Woman,
Christmas Vacation, Urban Cowboy, All Austin Powers... yeah baby!
|
|
Favorite Clothes/Stuff:
Adidas Sandals (with the
picky things!), Bruschi Jerseys, bike shorts (for workouts, even in winter),
Pats hooded sweatshirt, toe and thumb rings (that I never take off), a down comforter,
lotion, wool socks,
hats, 20 year old Dexter hiking boots, Victoria's Secret underthangs... and nothing but!
|
|
Favorite Kids Movies: Goonies, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,
Oliver, Remember the Titans, The Sandlot, The NeverEnding Story, Harry Potter, Meatballs, ET,
Back to the Future, The Wizard of Oz, Time Bandits
|
|
Things I have NO use
for: Cigarette
smoke, prejudice, ball busting, sit-coms, seeing people
embarrass themselves, conflicts, jealousy |
|
Favorite movies: Now keep in mind that we NEVER go to the show...
(in fact the last movie Al and I saw together in a theater was when I was
pregnant with Kelsea...17 years ago!) and we haven't even seen many videos
in the last few years but when the kids were little, we had our weekly
Saturday night date downstairs with movies, candles and wine! So, my
choices are all oldies....
Braveheart, All of the Rockys,
It's a Wonderful Life, The Music Box, All
of the Godfathers, Dances with Wolves, When a Man Loves a Woman, Lean on Me,
Scent of a Woman, Dead Poets Society, Mr. Holland's Opus, The Breakfast
Club, The Sound of Music, Fried Green Tomatoes
and now we're back to
movie nights so here's a few new
ones....
I am Sam, The Lord of
the Rings, Radio, Sideways, Phantom of the Opera, Something's Gotta Give
|
Favorite Actors:
Gene Hackman, Meryl Streep, Al Pacino, Andy Garcia,
Robert De Niro, Julia Roberts, Denzel Washington, Sean Connery, Liam Neeson, Jodie Foster, Robert Duvall, Morgan Freeman,
Cuba Gooding Jr.
|
|
Favorite TV Shows:
I'm not much of a TV person.... (unless it's sports or
sports news) and I don't like sitcoms and such so I don't watch much
TV ... But if I do, here's what I'll be watching:
NFL Network on in the
background 24/7...New England Sports Tonight, Nightly episodes of the
old Sopranos, The L Word, documentaries, House, CSI
|
|
Favorite Plays:
We have season tickets
to PPAC, so we see lots of performances.... these are the ones that really
stand out. To qualify, they must either move me to tears, produce
multiple chills, take my breath away and/or be a pleasant surprise....
Miss Saigon, Rent,
Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Aida, Mamma Mia!,
|
|
Favorite Places to Shop:
Bread and Circus,
Victoria's Secret, BJs, Express, Filenes, Antiques of North Attleboro, True
Scent Candles
|
|
Weird Stuff:
Things that most people
hate but I like...
Washing dishes by
hand, humidity, vacuuming, hanging clothes on the line, backbreaking
yard work, eating every kind nut, seed, and vegetable known to man, staying
home for days at a time
|
| More to come.... |

Michael Buble @ The Dunk!!

This was an AWESOME show!!! I've never
been to a performance where there was so much interaction with the
audience... great personality, beautiful vocals and excellent music.
When's he coming back??
